Nous ne les avions jamais vues se nourrir d'autres plantes et elles n'étaient pas agressives, même lorsque nous nous approchions d'elles. Puis nous avons constaté que les récoltes étaient moins importantes dans les champs où elles erraient. Après une année entière à les observer, nous avons découvert que ces créatures utilisaient les minuscules racines sur leurs pieds pour drainer les nutriments dans le sol.
