Alors que je visitais Urqopacha, un paysage magnifique apparut devant mes yeux. Je sus alors qu'il était de mon devoir d'explorateur que de le partager.

C'est dans ce hameau de montagne que se sont installés les Pelupelu, peuple de marchands ambulants. La région produit du café, de l'alcool appelé “mezcal” et d'autres produits dont ils font le commerce. Ils élèvent également des alpagas. Leurs petites maisons sont adaptées à la taille des habitants.

The sights of Urqopacha are wondrous to behold. I would capture this scene in honest words, for the truth requires no embellishment.

Nestled in between the mountains, the dwellings of this village are noticeably scaled down to accommodate the smaller size of its inhabitants. It is here that the peddler clan of the Pelupelu manufacture their trading goods such as coffee and mezcal, as well as maintain a ranch for the breeding and training of alpacas.

Bei meinen Streifzügen durch Urqopacha gelangte ich an einen Ort, der in mir sowohl großen Respekt für bewährte Traditionen als auch das leise Verlangen nach deren Neuerung erweckte.

Dieses Bergdorf ist die Heimat der geschäftstüchtigen Pelupelu. Sie sind einerseits für ihren exquisiten Kaffee und Mezcal bekannt, andererseits für ihre Alpakazucht. Die Reihen kleiner Häuser, perfekt auf ihre Statur zugeschnitten, fügen sich zu einem heimeligen, possierlich wirkendem Bild.

行商の民ペルペル族が故郷とする、山間の集落。一帯ではコーヒーやメスカル酒といった交易品が生産されているほか、アルパカを飼育する牧場も営まれている。小柄な住人に合わせ、家々もやや小さく作られているようだ
