Lorsqu'on observe les Hautes terres du Coerthas occidental d'un point surélevé, on peut apercevoir ce magnifique endroit, dont la beauté pourrait inspirer des chants aux bardes jusqu'à la fin des âges.

À l'instar des autres Vigiles, ce bastion de la lutte anti-dragons fut édifié pour défendre Ishgard contre ses ennemis héréditaires. Des chevaliers de la maison Durendaire y étaient autrefois postés sous les ordres de sire Yuhelmeric. Le Fléau ayant détruit une partie des remparts, le froid a enfermé la place forte dans un cercueil de glace. Abandonnée, elle est aujourd'hui infestée de créatures maléfiques.

From high atop the western highlands of Coerthas, I looked out upon the realm in all her glory. There I saw a sight that will be sung of for as long as songs are sung.

The Calamity was not kind to this once-proud watchtower, from which Ser Yuhelmeric and the brave knights of House Durendaire once stood watch against the encroaching Horde. Since the walls fell and the chill took hold, it has come to be inhabited by all manner of fell beasts, and gods only know what else.

Von den Höhen des westlichen Hochlands von Coerthas blickte ich herab auf das Land, wie es dalag in seiner ganzen Schönheit. Und was ich erblickte, wird die Barden bis ans Ende aller Tage inspirieren zu Liedern und Weisen.

Die Katastrophe hat der einst mächtigen Bastion übel mitgespielt. Vor vielen Generationen hielten Yuhelmeric und seine furchtlosen Ritter hier die herannahende Drachenbrut in Schach, doch seit die Mauern geborsten und der Frost eingekehrt ist, haben sich die scheußlichsten Kreaturen dort niedergelassen.
